158 mm front — not a rebadged 142 mm reader. Most 'wide' readers on Amazon top out at 145 mm. Our front is genuinely scaled for 153–163 mm faces, with temple flare that opens at the hinge instead of pressing into the side of the head.
21 mm keyhole bridge spreads weight across a wider nose instead of pinching the bridge of the nose like narrow 16–18 mm pads. This matters for readers because they sit on the face for long uninterrupted sessions — books, screens, paperwork.
Italian Mazzucchelli acetate instead of injection-moulded plastic. Acetate holds the adjustment your optician sets, doesn't creak, and ages with a depth that drugstore readers never reach.

Do wide frame reading glasses exist for faces over 155 mm?
They do, but they're rare. Most pharmacy and online readers cap at 142–145 mm front width. Woolet's wide frame readers are built on the same 158 mm fronts as our optical line, specifically for 153–163 mm faces (with bespoke from 145–160 mm).
What reading powers are available?
+1.00 to +3.00 in 0.25 dioptre steps. If you need a stronger power or have a complex prescription, order the frame and we'll route the lenses through our optical partner.
Are these the same frames as your optical and sunglass models?
Yes — same Italian Mazzucchelli acetate, same 158 mm front, same 21 mm keyhole bridge, same 007 round and 009 soft-square shapes. The only difference is the lens type fitted at the end of the build.
Will progressive or bifocal reading lenses fit?
Yes. The 50–52 mm lens height on both shapes gives progressive corridors enough room to work properly. If you specifically want bifocals or progressives, mention it at checkout.
How do I know the size will fit my face?

When do pre-orders ship?
